Lamborghini Urus or launch hybrid version

Recently, foreign media reported that Lamborghini internal does not rule out to launch hybrid version Urus model, this car may be launched after the gasoline version models.

Previously, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann mentioned in an interview, Urus will continue to follow the "one car, one engine" of Lamborghini strategy. But recently there are Lamborghini executives revealed to the media, although Urus equipped with 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine, but the car want to equipped with hybrid system is not difficult.

In this regard, the head of the Lamborghini R & D department Maurizio Reggiani mentioned, the reason why now do not launch hybrid version Urus is the problem of the weight. After use hybrid system, the car's weight will increase by 200 kg, which will affect the DNA of the car. In addition, hybrid system will also take up more volume. So, the new car will use more carbon fiber, titanium and so on material in the body.

For now do not launch hybrid version Urus, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has another apprehension, he thinks hybrid high-performance car market may decline after a few years, the future Urus hybrid version or will not have much of  market.
